Payment and Nonpayment Policy

TaskTeens expects Job Posters to pay Teen Workers all compensation that is legally owed and that was accurately represented in the applicable job listing or work arrangement.

Reporting Nonpayment

A Teen Worker who believes they have not been paid may submit a payment report through TaskTeens.

TaskTeens may request information reasonably necessary to evaluate whether a platform rule may have been violated, including:

• the opportunity involved;
• the agreed compensation;
• dates and approximate hours worked;
• the amount received;
• the amount the Teen Worker believes remains unpaid;
• relevant TaskTeens communications; and
• available evidence of payment or completion of work.

Teen Workers should involve a parent or guardian in payment disputes when appropriate.

Job Poster Response

When TaskTeens receives a credible nonpayment report, TaskTeens may temporarily restrict the Job Poster's ability to create or accept additional listings while the matter is reviewed.

TaskTeens may ask the Job Poster to:

• provide proof that payment was made;
• pay an undisputed outstanding amount;
• provide information explaining a genuine dispute; or
• otherwise resolve the reported issue.

Failure to respond to TaskTeens regarding a credible payment complaint may result in account restrictions.

Failure to Pay

A Job Poster who refuses or repeatedly fails to pay compensation that TaskTeens reasonably determines was promised and is not genuinely disputed may have listings removed and may be suspended or permanently removed from TaskTeens.

TaskTeens may take similar action against a Job Poster who:

• repeatedly receives credible nonpayment complaints;
• provides false payment information;
• retaliates against a Teen Worker for reporting nonpayment;
• attempts to avoid applicable wage laws;
• requests unpaid work that is legally required to be compensated; or
• attempts to pressure a Teen Worker into waiving legally protected wages.

TaskTeens Does Not Decide Legal Wage Claims

TaskTeens may enforce its own platform rules but is not a court, labor agency, collection agency, payroll provider, or legal representative for either party.

TaskTeens' decision to restrict or restore an account does not determine whether compensation is legally owed.

Where appropriate, TaskTeens may provide users with information about government agencies, courts, legal-aid organizations, or other resources that may assist with an unpaid-wage or payment dispute.

Nothing in this policy limits a Teen Worker's right to file a wage claim, pursue legally owed compensation, report suspected violations to a government agency, or exercise any other legal right.

Record Preservation

TaskTeens may preserve listings, applications, communications, payment-dispute records, account information, and other relevant information when reasonably necessary to investigate a report, enforce platform rules, respond to legal process, or protect users.

No TaskTeens Payment Guarantee

Unless TaskTeens expressly offers a separate payment-protection feature stating otherwise, TaskTeens does not guarantee that a Job Poster will pay a Teen Worker and does not itself become responsible for compensation owed by a Job Poster merely because the parties connected through TaskTeens.
