Adult Job Poster Agreement
Version 2026-10-v0.4 · Effective date: October 30, 2026 · Last updated: October 27, 2026
Adult Job Poster Agreement
I am at least 18 and am hiring personally, or am authorized to act for the business I name. I am the direct hiring party, not TaskTeens. I choose applicants, determine lawful classification, agree pay and schedules directly, supervise the work, and handle all applicable permits, wages, payroll and taxes, workers' compensation, safety, training, records and other employment duties. I will not assume a teen is an independent contractor or that a household exemption applies just because of this listing. TaskTeens does not get work permits, run payroll or handle any employer duty for me.
I will offer at least the minimum wage where the work happens (the city's minimum wage, or California's where the city has none) and pay everything else the law requires. I will not withhold wages over performance, cancellation, damage, a report or account removal. I understand hiring for a household may require workers' compensation, and unlawful employment of a minor can trigger enhanced compensation under applicable law, including Labor Code section 4557 in its specified circumstances.
I will disclose the actual duties and conditions, leave out age-prohibited duties, follow the teen's work permit and school schedule and the pilot limits, and get renewed family approval before a material change. For indoor work, an adult will be home (or a supervisor on site) the whole time. I will not ask for secrecy, bypass guardian-visible messages, expose private addresses, retaliate for complaints, or use unpaid labels to avoid wages. I understand verification is limited, and I will read the Childcare and TrustLine Notice if I post childcare. TaskTeens does not supply a replacement worker, guarantee attendance, settle employment disputes or insure my hiring obligations.
Additional adult terms
When I post, I accept the Adult Job Poster Risk Allocation Agreement. It contains a $100 aggregate cap on eligible economic-loss claims and a duty to defend and indemnify for covered third-party claims caused by my covered conduct. Its protected-claim exclusions control. No parent or teen becomes an indemnitor because of family participation.
I will say whether I hire personally or for a business. If I represent a business, I confirm my authority and do not bind a spouse, family member or another entity. A household name is not itself a legal contracting person.
I will promptly report a material change or incident, keep relevant evidence, and cooperate with lawful requests without publishing a teen's information. I will not demand passwords, identity documents through chat, medical information unrelated to the job, or payment for obtaining work. I will not represent TaskTeens as my employer, staffing provider, insurer or employment-law adviser.
My acceptance is recorded with my account, the document version and the time.
