Verification, Reporting, Nonpayment and Appeals Policy

Verification badges
Badges state only the checks actually completed — for example "Email confirmed", "Phone confirmed", "Address reviewed" or "Profile reviewed by an administrator". An address check is not proof of ownership or worksite safety. A guardian's approval is not a criminal clearance. We never describe anyone as vetted, safe, an "approved employer" or criminally cleared.
No criminal-record or consumer-report screening or public-registry searching is used. A lack of public results would prove nothing about criminal history. TrustLine information follows the Childcare and TrustLine Notice; a minor is never badged through a guardian's check.
Reporting
Use Report, Get help, the nonpayment form, or hello@taskteens.com. You don't have to confront anyone or send sensitive evidence through ordinary chat. Urgent risks are restricted when we receive them, but there is no staffed 24/7 coverage. Our goal is to acknowledge ordinary reports within two business days.
A trained person reviews material restrictions, gives a meaningful reason where it is safe and lawful, and offers an appeal — where possible to someone not involved in the original decision. The reporter's identity and evidence are shared only with people who need them. A temporary pause is a precaution, not a finding of guilt. Teens are never suspended for low productivity, declining an offer or a disputed quality review. Retaliation for good-faith complaints, contacting authorities or criticism is prohibited. You can seek outside help at any time; there is no requirement to use our process first.
Automated tools may help sort reports, but they never make final identity, credibility, safety, abuse or liability decisions. We never ask anyone for sexual images of a minor as proof. Restricted safety intake stays separate from guardian-visible chat.
Nonpayment
A nonpayment report should give the job, agreed rate, dates and hours, payment received, balance disputed and any relevant messages. Never send bank passwords. TaskTeens may keep records, ask for a factual response, and restrict a poster for platform violations after human review. We don't decide employment-law liability, collect debts or promise reimbursement. An account restriction never allows wages to be withheld. You can go to the California Labor Commissioner or a court right away.
Appeals
Ask for a review within 30 days by emailing hello@taskteens.com. Urgent corrections, such as a mistaken identity match, can be requested right away. Any response deadline required by law controls. A reporter may ask for a safe way to communicate.
