Parent or Legal Guardian Participation Consent
Version 2026-10-v0.4 · Effective date: October 30, 2026 · Last updated: October 27, 2026
A parent or legal guardian gives this consent from the invitation link their teen sends, with a separate unchecked checkbox for each statement below. The version (2026-10-v0.4), the statements checked, the time, and the IP address and browser used are recorded. This consent authorizes no optional tracking, recording, publicity or advertising use. The teen's own acknowledgment is recorded separately.
Statements
- I am at least 18 and am this teen's parent or legal guardian with authority to approve participation. I have my own account and understand that my link to my teen may be checked and that disputed authority is reviewed.
- I understand TaskTeens is a free job board. Posters hire directly, supervise the work, pay directly, and are responsible for legal employer duties, including work permits and payroll. TaskTeens does not assign workers, pay wages, or guarantee safety or payment.
- I understand my teen must be 14–17 and that during the pilot only the listed job types are open — indoor work only with an adult home or a supervisor on site, and childcare support only for children 5 and older with their parent home. Jobs may be with households or local businesses. Individual duties and conditions decide eligibility.
- I will review each specific job, private address, duties, tools, adults present, risks, schedule, work-permit status, pay and safe travel and check-in plan. I will go with my teen to the first meeting with each poster and stay reachable during the job. My approval does not make unlawful work lawful or replace the employer's duties.
- I understand that job messages between my teen and posters are visible to me by default, and that I must not act as my teen. Safety reports may be restricted where sharing them would create a risk. I have read the Privacy Notice.
- I understand the exact address is released to my teen only after I approve that specific job, and material changes need my renewed approval.
- I have read the insurance disclosure: TaskTeens carries no platform insurance and does not run background checks or verify anyone's identity or age. By consenting I do not release my teen's claims, waive wage or injury rights, guarantee my teen's debts, or indemnify TaskTeens.
- I know my teen can decline or stop unsafe work and can report nonpayment or abuse without retaliation. I can withdraw consent for future participation at any time from my parent dashboard; earned pay is still owed, and records are kept as the Privacy Notice describes.
Optional location permission (separate checkbox)
Optional: allow my teen to choose to share their live location with me during a confirmed job. It is off by default and only starts when my teen turns it on for that job. Only linked parents see it — never the household. It stops at check-out, at the end of the approved time, or when my teen stops it, and TaskTeens keeps only the latest point, deleted when sharing ends. GPS can be wrong or stop updating, so I'll keep a check-in plan that works without it.
Withdrawing consent
Consent and individual job approvals can be withdrawn for the future from the parent dashboard or by emailing hello@taskteens.com. We stop future participation through that link while we review, and keep necessary records as the Privacy Notice describes. Withdrawal doesn't cancel earned pay or a lawful claim. If a guardian is involved in a concern, use the private reporting route; TaskTeens will look for a safe alternative instead of automatically sharing the report with that guardian.
