Optional Features and Emergency Limitations
Version 2026-10-v0.4 · Effective date: October 30, 2026 · Last updated: October 27, 2026
What the site does and doesn't do
No ambient recording, live audio or video, voice or file attachments in chat, push-to-talk, automatic dispatch, or 24/7 monitoring. Inactive controls are never shown as safeguards.
Optional location sharing
Off by default. A parent must allow it, and the teen chooses to turn it on for a confirmed job. Only linked parents see it — never the poster. A visible indicator shows while it's on, the teen can stop it at any time, and it ends automatically at check-out or the end of the job window. Only the latest point is kept, and it is deleted when sharing ends. GPS can be inaccurate or stop updating; the parent's page shows the time of the last update. Declining never reduces pay or account access.
Emergencies
In immediate danger, call 911 and move to safety. The Emergency button opens your phone's dialer to 911 — you may need to confirm the call — and separately sends an alert to your linked parent and TaskTeens. An alert is not a police dispatch, and "sent" does not mean anyone has read it or that help is coming. You can always call 911 or authorities without filing a report. Incidents and locations are never shown to a poster or guardian who may be involved.
