Update announcing new pricing model:
A most sincere thank you to everyone who provided their feedback and helped work with us on developing the new pricing model shown above. I am super excited to announce that, after an almost 100% positive response towards the new model - that is what we will be using for pricing going forwards.
As promised, we listened to all feedback we received, and found that many homeowners worried about how the final bill would be calculated. To clear this up and provide maximum transparency, we’ve made the change shown below:
Many homeowners were worried that they would be charged for 2 hours of work if the job took anything more than 1 hour (for example, being charged for 2 hours of work on a job which only took 1 hour 20 minutes)
Prorated pricing rounded to the half hour.
Job takes 3 hours and 10 minutes: homeowner charged for 3 hours of labor
Job takes 3 hours and 15 minutes: homeowner charged for 3.5 hours of labor
Job takes 3 hours and 40 minutes: homeowner charged for 3.5 hours of labor
Job takes 3 hours and 50 minutes: homeowner charged for 4 hours of labor
In the end, our goal in developing the new model was the following:
Lower overall cost of work for the homeowner
Provide more clarity and transparency upfront around pricing
Make budgeting for a job easier
Reduce turnaround time on finding teams for jobs
Ensure teens compensated fairly across all job types
We’re confident that we’ve created a system that will check all of those boxes, and will provide an all around better TaskTeens experience for those involved. As always, we love to hear feedback from our users on how we can better our service, and we hope you’ll continue to provide us with such so that we can continue to make improvements across the board!
Thank you so much as always for allowing us the great honor of serving you and your family. I wish you all the best, and that we’ll be able to work together soon under the new model. :)
